  • Illustrated Animals
  • Spanning ecosystems and species, these illustrations display the various ways animals exist and interact with the world.
  • In Panama scientists are studying the intricate relationship between prey and predator. Here, an ocelot is depicted hunting an agouti. Painted in acrylic for the National Science Foundation.

  • Ugly African Animals
Aesthetically unappreciated animals of africa drawn with color pencils. Including the vulture, wild dog, marabou stork, ostrich, warthog and hyena.
  • Painted in acrylic for the National Science Foundation.
  • Scientists study penguin physiology to learn how then can dive to depths of 300 m (1500 ft.). Penguins spend much of their life in the ocean hunting for krill, fish, and squid. Unlike humans, penguins don't suffer from many of the back problems associated with diving, such as decompression sickness (the bends), shallow water black-out, and free-radical damgae to tissues. Researcher's work to understand penguins may someday be applicable to anesthesiology and other medical applications. Digitally painted for the National Science Foundation.
