  • When corals are stressed due to warm waters, toxins, or chemical imbalances in the water, they expel their symbiotic Zooxanthellae losing their color. If conditions don't improve enough for the Zooxanthellae to move back in, the coral will die. Landscape modeled in Eon Vue, drawn in Adobe Illustrator and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Coral anatomy showing the photosynthetic symbiotic Zooxanthellae within. Landscape modeled in Eon Vue, drawn in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Roughly 40% of the United State's electricity is powered by burning coal. Not only does the burning of coal at power plants lead to air pollution, the mining has severe implications for the surrounding ecosystems and communities. Created using Eon Vue, Cinema 4d, and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • The ecological footprint of a city, based on the resources it uses and the pollutants it uses, far exceeds its physical footprint. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop for an upcoming ecology textbook.
  • Forests are being cut at an alarming rate for wood products and to make room for grazing, agriculture and housing. As more roads are cut through forests for access and more forest edges are exposed, forests are more susceptible to pests, disease, and fire. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • In the safety of our home a surprising number of contaminants threaten our air quality: from dust mites in our beds, to smoke from our cooking. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • An intricate food web can easily be disrupted, and an oil spill effects all levels. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Rain runs-off and contaminates waterways, but there are many ways to prevent pollutions. Some of the methods to slow and filter the water are green-roofs, rain gardens, rain barrels, pervious pavers, and diverted gutters. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
  • What will the city of our future look like? Smart-cities will look a little more green, with green roofs and gardens softening the pavement, solar panels collecting energy, and carbon neutral transportation. Created using Eon Vue and painted with Adobe Photoshop.
